Reader I have a new pattern to share with you today. Say hello to the Bee Bold Socks. I had this Thought: What if I used my animal hat charts to make socks? I went for it and I'm so glad that I did. I have already secretly made the fish, and dino socks with only the butterflies to go, and they are all soo cute. I've always been unsure of stranded knitted socks, because I worried that they would not have a lot of stretch, but I used some tricks throughout the pattern to keep them stretchy. First I moved up a couple needle sizes when I was in the stranded parts of the pattern, and second I made sure to keep the floats around 3 stitches and that really makes a big difference. Where you can get the patternThis pattern is available in my Ravelry Store and Etsy! For now its a little cheaper on Ravelry. Be sure to take a look I hope you are getting some warm weather where you are at. My garden is slowly coming awake. On Monday I spent the whole day on my porch with a cat on my lap and a book in my hand, and it was Glorious. I also hope you find some time for yourself too. Thanks for following along, Julia

Hi, I'm the creator behind Designs by Diligence. I love crafting. Usually that means playing with yarn through knitting and crochet. I love trying new things, learning, growing and some times trying again. You can find my designs on Ravelry.

I also added a lace weight mohair, and the result was the softest 2 tone hat that I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing this...
Reader It doesn't seem possible that the cold weather is just around the corner. I wanted to get this pattern out to you early so you could have it finished before you really needed it. This is a stranded knit pattern with a chart and instructions to make this beautiful cowl. This time I decided to make it with a DK weight yarn for the extra squish and warmth and I'm so glad that I did. It uses 200 grams of yarn. Unfortunately it uses 110 grams of the background color so you need 3 skeins...
